This Week's Highlights (July 7th - 13th):

  • Tanabata at Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center (Through July 13th):

Immerse yourself in the magic of Tanabata, the Japanese Star Festival, at the beautiful Shofuso Center. Learn about the legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, write your own wish on a traditional Tanzaku card, and admire the vibrant decorations. Timed tickets are required. 


  • The Oval (July 11th - August 25th):

Escape the summer heat and relax at The Oval, a pop-up urban oasis near the iconic Rocky Steps. Enjoy a beer garden, delicious food trucks, live music, movies under the stars, and even a kid-friendly mini-golf course!


  • Blueberry Festival at Linvilla Orchards (July 13th):

Head to Linvilla Orchards for a day filled with all things blueberry! Pick your own blueberries, indulge in blueberry treats, cheer on contestants in the pie-eating contest, and enjoy live music and entertainment. Free admission, but tickets required for picking. 


  • Dino Weekend at Morris Arboretum & Gardens (July 13th-14th):

Calling all dino enthusiasts! Morris Arboretum transforms into a prehistoric paradise with larger-than-life dinosaur displays, dino-themed activities, and a fascinating Plants in the Age of Dinosaurs exhibition. Free admission for all ages 17 and under! 


  • 2024 Tinicum Arts Festival (July 13th-14th):

Explore beautiful artwork from hundreds of talented artists at the Tinicum Arts Festival. Find unique treasures, enjoy live music, and browse a massive book wagon. Free admission makes this a perfect family outing!

  • Seasonal Outdoor Dining: Soak up the sunshine at one of Philly's many popular outdoor bars and restaurants, like Morgan’s Pier and Liberty Point on the waterfront, Walnut Garden in Rittenhouse Square, Independence Beer Garden in the Historic District, and the Garden Bar at the Rodin Museum. Don't miss Uptown Beer Garden in Center City, the PHS Pop Up Gardens on South Street and in Manayunk, Sunset Social at Cira Green, and Bok Bar in South Philly. New this year is Liberty Garden at Independence National Historical Park.
