Join the 4th of July Family Day at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History on July 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Watch the Independence Day Parade from the museum's indoor-outdoor viewing party, then enjoy family-friendly activities including crafts, performances, and gallery exploration. Admission is free for the day. The museum is located at 101 S. Independence Mall East.

Get ready for the Salute to Independence Parade on July 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Center City. Celebrate American culture and history with groups from across the country and around the world. The parade starts at 2nd and Market streets and moves west through Old City to City Hall.


Red, White, and Wine: Celebrate the Fourth at Penns Woods Winery! 

Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend at Penns Woods Winery from July 4-7, 2024. Enjoy live music on the lawn, and make sure to bring a blanket or chair as pavilions and fire pits are first come, first served. Savor wine and BBQ from the PA BBQ Boys food truck, available Friday and Saturday. The event takes place at 124 Beaver Valley Road, Chadds Ford.


Celebrate Life, Liberty, and Happiness at the National Liberty Museum

Through July 7, 2024, the National Liberty Museum in Old City celebrates American ideals with various activities. Enjoy free admission on Monday's Free Museum Day, live performances, and outdoor activities on Tuesday as part of the Red, White & Blue To-Do events. Wednesday offers pay-what-you-wish admission. Guests can also create keepsakes, contribute to a community artwork, or sound a replica Liberty Bell for a donation. Located at 321 Chestnut Street.


Now Open: La Placita Pop-Up in Fishtown

The James Beard-nominated chef behind Kensington’s Cantina la Martina has opened La Placita in Fishtown, serving Puerto Rican street food from a restored trolley. The menu features laid-back dishes like pinchos, barbecue wings and ribs, and nachos, perfect for alfresco dining. The venue includes picnic tables and space for summertime community events.
